News Oct 29, 2009 Motivation BentLovers & Friends If you think this is going to be a pep talk to get you riding again, or riding more, you are wrong. The motivation subject is for us. The motivation to keep trying comes from the many stories we hear and witness . . . about your goals . . . set and shattered. Stories we hear about surprises happening, and customer experiences going way beyond their own expectations. Just one recent story: RandoChick Michelle, & Company, spent last week riding the Natchez Trace from Jackson, to Jackson, to Jackson, the long way . . . through Natchez, then Nashville! That is 790 miles in a week!! Way to go guys! That is what keeps us going, and we thank you for sharing those stories with us! OK, so here are some ways you can continue to motivate us! This weekend we will have the Rise & Shine Bread Ride at 7:15 AM for the last time. (On November 14 we plan to launch all Bread Rides at 7:45 AM.) We will offer the Round the Rez route again this Saturday, as construction has been completed on the high road across the spillway. The shop will be closed on November 7 for the annual Birthday Challenge on the Longleaf Trace. That event really motivates us! The Signature Ride coming on March 27, 2010 will be the best motivation ever! We have lots of kayaks on sale. We have lots of bikes on sale. We have lots of cold weather gear. We have Christmas gifts and gift certificates. We are indeed motivated to help you, and yours, enjoy the season! As we approach the traditional season of thanks and giving, we would like to invite you to the shop on New Year's Eve for a sharing of food, music, fun and fellowship from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. We will have a ping pong tournament for those of you who are a bit competitive, so bring your tennis shoes! We encourage you to bring your musical instruments and jam a bit, too! Of course we will have plenty of food and drink along with movies of past events . . . starring you! To use a cycling analogy, New Year's Eve may seem many miles away, but with the proper motivation we will arrive before we know it!
