Journal Entry Dec 29, 2002 Race Round th Rez The regular 2:00 PM Sunday ride is on! Danny & I had a great ride last week Round th Rez! The weather was perfectly similar to today. We encountered some roadies stopped at the Hwy 43/Natchez Trace intersection. One immediately informed the others not to mess with us! The previous week, Mark, Danny & myself wound up to 32.5 mph across the causeway on the way back from the Holly Bush ride. The speaking roadie managed to stay close at that speed but was sweating bullets when we eased up to talk. He vowed to come by the shop. Last week, he wanted to test ride the bike, which we instantly obliged him. We agreed to race them around the remaining distance, they going one way and us the other. We intersected again at Timber Lake Campground. We had stopped at Tommy's, and gone two more miles than they had! Great fun . . . maybe they will return today! View All Journal Entries |
