Journal Entry Feb 1, 2003 They vowed to call, as one member left for pain killer from the pain machines they had ridden a short distance. Saturday we toured the Longleaf Trace, layin' back and enjoying the ride! The morning fog dissappeared as we hit the trail and the winter chill gradually changed to just right temps to work. In fact, we saw the trail mananger, Mr. Pierce, working on a rest area near Epley. He said work will begin on our rest area at mile marker # 5.25 this week! We also saw a huge llama in one of the fields! The group for the day, Mark, Kim, Doug, Press, Danny and myself regrouped at Bassville for excellent fuel at The Lighthouse Cafe & Grille. We then rode the last leg back to Prentiss. It was nice to return refreshed and not hungry! We stood around awhile as a local family group came over to inspect our bikes. They vowed to call, as one member left for pain killer from the pain machines they had ridden a short distance. Everyone had a great time and planned to return on March 1 for the LLT ETV Bent-B-Que! Hope to see everyone there! View All Journal Entries |
