Our Tuesday and Thursday evening rides are fading into the sunset.

Our Tuesday and Thursday evening rides are fading into the sunset. Yesterday, Lane, Bob, John and this rider left the Overlook with a cool, misty, fall-like air settling over the Natchez Trace. After we turned around at the 10 mile marker, the traffic became sparse and we noticed the herons standing quietly on stumps along the water's edge waiting for dinner to appear. Not having that much patience (or skill for that matter) we began thinking of take-out, and became mesmerized watching each other's blinking lights as flocks of geese overhead aimed their chevrons south and darkness swept over us. John told of his fun adventure touring the south Trace to Natchez on his Catrike (with Burley trailer in tow), and we chased Dr. Rocket (Bob) on his fast and smooth (full suspension) Rocket. (Bob had had a super quick warm-up right before launch time when a rear tire on his bike blew out as he was gathering stuff from the van! Military training kicked in and Bob hit the deck before the next gun shot went off, getting his heart registering the max on his new heart monitor!)
Regrettably, we will be suspending our evening rides until the darkness of the evening comes later again. We will still have early get-a-ways from time to time, early Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon rides. In fact, when any of you get the urge to ride anywhere, any time, and would like some company, just call or e-mail and we will put the word out.

We have paddled/pedaled/sailed the new Hobie kayaks and they are a blast! Call us if you are interested, and we will arrange a demo. We have them in stock!
